4: London hotspots shift beyond the banana zone
New figures from Rightmove in September showed that most of London’s current property hotspots lie outside the so-called ‘banana zone’, which outlines a curved corridor of sought-after areas stretching from South West to North East London.
This challenged assumptions about the capital’s most desirable locations, as eight of the ten most in-demand neighbourhoods fell outside this shape.
