Rental Intelligence Group (RIG) has launched to bring lettings technology, specialist services and landlord support together under one group identity. The group combines Propoly, LegalforLandlords and Landlord Lounge, with a shared aim of simplifying tenancy operations and making the rental journey more connected.
RIG says it wants to tackle one of the persistent problems in the lettings industry: the administrative burden created by disconnected systems, repeated data entry and the coordination needed to move a tenancy forward.
Propoly’s referencing data points to the scale of that burden. Some 86.6% of references required additional evidence, with proof of income or employment requested most often at 65.1%. Bank statements followed at 53.2%, identification or Right to Rent documentation at 32.3%, proof of address at 27.8%, and self-employment or tax documents at 12.1%. The volume and variety of information involved show how much effort goes into gathering and reviewing evidence before a tenancy can progress.
Each brand covers a different part of the process. Propoly provides the tenancy operations platform, while LegalforLandlords delivers specialist services across referencing, protection, compliance and legal support. Landlord Lounge acts as a dedicated hub for the landlord experience.
Together, they form the foundation for RIG’s plan to connect the rental journey on both sides of the keys. Before the keys, that means referencing, compliance and tenancy set-up. Beyond them, it covers the ongoing support, services and expertise needed throughout a tenancy and afterwards. RIG says bringing these capabilities together will reduce fragmentation, simplify processes and create a more joined-up experience for agents, landlords and tenants.
Putting practical AI to work in lettings technology
AI and automation will play a growing part in RIG’s development. The group is focusing on practical improvements that help letting agents cut repetitive administration, bring information together and identify next steps more clearly, freeing teams to concentrate on relationships, expertise and portfolio performance.
RIG sees the opportunity extending across agencies of all sizes. Independent agencies can gain from simpler processes and greater operational capacity, while larger organisations can work towards more consistency across branches and brands, better efficiency and more value from each managed property.
Development will continue over the coming years, with an emphasis on turning the connected approach into tangible customer outcomes. The group plans to work alongside agents, drawing on their feedback and experience to shape solutions around the challenges they face.
“We see an opportunity to make the rental journey work better by connecting the technology, specialist expertise and support that agents rely on,” said Sim Sekhon, group CEO of Rental Intelligence Group. “By bringing these capabilities together, we can focus on making everyday processes simpler and helping agents spend more time on the relationships and decisions that matter. This is the destination we want to build towards with Rental Intelligence Group.”
The launch establishes a shared identity and direction for the group, while keeping Propoly, LegalforLandlords and Landlord Lounge at the heart of the proposition.
