Bridging finance lender Phoenix Money Group, trading as Phoenix Money, has joined the Bridging & Development Lenders Association (BDLA) as a lender member.

The privately funded business provides short-term property finance to investors, developers and individuals across the UK.

Its bridging finance ranges from £50,000 to £5 million and supports property purchases, refinancing and auction finance.

The BDLA describes itself as the UK’s only trade association dedicated to representing the interests of bridging and development lenders and their customers. Its membership brings together lenders and associate firms from across the specialist property finance market, providing a collective voice for the sector and promoting high standards, responsible lending and best practice. The association also engages with regulators, policymakers and wider stakeholders on issues affecting the market.

Bridging finance experience for BDLA discussions

“We welcome Phoenix Money as the latest Lender Member of the BDLA,” said Adam Tyler, chief executive of the BDLA (pictured).

“Its experience as a privately funded lender will bring a useful perspective to discussions about the practical challenges facing lenders, brokers and their customers.

“Our members help shape the Association’s work, from sharing best practice to informing our engagement with regulators and policymakers. We look forward to Phoenix Money contributing to those discussions and supporting our commitment to responsible lending and sustainable growth.”

“Joining the BDLA gives us the opportunity to share our experience with other lenders and contribute to the issues affecting our market,” said Manish Gambhir, managing director at Phoenix Money. “Working through a trade association helps ensure those discussions inform how the sector is represented.

“We assess each case on its individual circumstances, and clear communication with borrowers and brokers is central to that approach. We look forward to exchanging ideas with fellow members about how we can maintain high standards while responding to different funding needs.”
