Graham Penny Auctions had another busy and successful auction last week as 62 lots went up for sale.

The auction, on Thursday 23rd October, saw more than £3.4m in sales raised for Graham Penny Auctions’ vendors as hundreds of bidders from across the country filled the room at the iPro Stadium to get their hands on their next property purchase.

Graham Penny commented:

“The property and land lots in our catalogue this month really did attract a huge amount of interest from both within Derby and further afield, including one bidder who flew in from Dubai!

Our first two lots set the precedent for the day with some excited bidding from across the room and on the phones, internet and by proxy which led to excellent sale prices for the vendors. This momentum continued throughout the auction with the final lot of the day also attracting a volley of bids from around the auction room resulting in a sale price £50,000 higher than the vendor was expecting.”

So far this year Graham Penny Auctions Derby has raised over £29.7m in sales for its clients and achieved an 80 per cent success rate. Graham Penny Auctions is now inviting entries for its final Derby auction of 2014 on Thursday 11th December at the iPro Stadium. Anyone wishing to sell a residential property, commercial property or land lot can request a free property appraisal.

Graham added: “We already have a number of properties entered into our December auction thanks to the excellent sale prices we have been achieving for our vendor clients this year and we are inviting more entries. A sale by auction could be the best way of getting the best price and the quickest sale. And it’s the only way of achieving a secure sale; once the gavel has fallen in the auction room, the sale is secure and contracts are exchanged, there are no fall throughs.”
