Agents Giving has raised £17,000 through property industry fundraising at its charity golf day at Morley Hayes Golf Club in Derbyshire, with the money going to the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association and the Agents Giving Grant Fund.
The event on Thursday 24 September brought property professionals from across the industry together for golf, networking, fundraising and friendly competition in sunny weather. Headline sponsor Just Move In supported the day, and Agents Giving thanked every golfer, sponsor, supporter, volunteer and prize donor. The golf, raffle, auction and other fundraising activities all contributed to the total.
The money will support the MND Association, helping people affected by motor neurone disease, alongside the Agents Giving Grant Fund. The fund helps agents and suppliers with the costs of organising their own fundraising activities and supporting their chosen charities.
"What a fantastic day and an amazing result," said David Newnes, chairman of Agents Giving. "Raising £17,000 is a brilliant achievement and is a testament to the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone who joined us.
"It was wonderful to see so many people from across the property industry coming together, having fun and raising money for such important causes. A huge thank you to our Headline Sponsor, Just Move In, all our golfers, supporters and everyone who donated prizes or helped make the day happen.
"Days like this really demonstrate what our industry can achieve when we come together. We're incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make it such a memorable day."
Competition on the course was close. Just Move In took first place, ahead of Atlas Display in second and Simplify in third. Ben Greco of Simplify won best single player, while Charlotte Brown of National Home Move took the best dressed prize. Morley Hayes provided the setting for the latest Agents Giving event, combining golf and hospitality with property industry fundraising.
Property industry fundraising turns to cycling
Agents Giving is following the golf day with more fundraising in October and is calling on 1,000 property professionals to take part in The Great British Property Cycle Challenge 2026. The nationwide challenge supports heart causes and has Rent Guarantor as headline sponsor.
It brings together estate and letting agents, suppliers and property professionals throughout the month, raising funds for the British Heart Foundation and Heartbeat Trust UK and supporting the campaign for more defibrillators in local communities.
Taking part requires no set route, no minimum distance and no experience as a serious cyclist. Riders can cover 10 miles or 100, cycle outdoors or on a static bike or in a gym, and enter individually, with family or colleagues, or as an office-to-office challenge.
Agents Giving wants businesses to use their local networks to raise awareness and funds, with estate agents at the heart of communities across the UK. Up to 100,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the UK every year, which makes rapid CPR and access to a defibrillator critically important.
"We want 1,000 people from across the property industry to get involved – but our real ambition is to see estate agency offices everywhere getting on their bikes," he added.
"You don't have to be a cyclist. Get your team together, set your own challenge and make your miles matter. It's easy to take part and, together, we can make a real difference in our communities."
The challenge runs throughout October, including Restart a Heart Day on 16 October, and people can register here.
