Estate agents across the UK are inviting local communities to take part in a nationwide Easter egg appeal designed to support families who may struggle to afford seasonal treats.
The campaign, organised by Agents Giving and supported by The Guild of Property Professionals and Relocation Agent Network, encourages agents and industry suppliers to collect Easter eggs at their offices before distributing them to charities and community groups.
Participating branches will act as collection points, inviting donations from local residents, businesses and clients. The eggs will then be passed on to nearby food banks, charities and community organisations that support families in need.
Organisers say the appeal aims to keep the process straightforward while creating a visible way for agents to support their neighbourhoods.
Agents can take part by turning their offices into donation hubs and promoting the initiative locally. Once collected, the eggs will be delivered to organisations such as:
local food banks
community charities
support groups working with families who might otherwise miss out on an Easter treat
David Newnes, chairman of Agents Giving, said the campaign highlights how small acts can bring communities together.
"Easter is a time for joy and togetherness, but for many families it can also be challenging," said David Newnes, chairman. "A small gesture like donating an Easter egg to two can remind families that their community cares. We’re encouraging as many agents as possible to get involved and help make this our biggest appeal yet."
Each donation collected through the appeal will be passed directly to organisations supporting families locally, with the aim of ensuring children receive a traditional Easter gift.
Those interested in taking part or supporting the campaign can find further details through Agents Giving.
