Agents and suppliers from across the property industry took to the water in Stratford-upon-Avon for the annual Agents Giving Dragon Boat Race, supported by REX, raising more than £10,000 for charity. Teams competed in heats throughout the day, with the event combining fierce competition and a strong sense of camaraderie among participants.

Three teams made it through to the final: National Home Move All Stars, The Boys Club and National Home Move Legends. The Boys Club went on to win a close and closely fought race. Despite the competitive edge, teams were quick to support each other during the heats and celebrate each other's wins throughout the day.

Funds raised will benefit two causes, the Magic Moments Children's Charity and the Agents Giving Grant Fund. Donations were still being counted at the time of writing, with the total expected to rise further.

"I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the incredible agents who took part in the Dragon Boat Race in support of Magic Moments Children's Charity," said Emma Barber, chair of Magic Moments Children's Charity.

"Events like these go far beyond the race itself; they bring us together for a greater purpose, helping to create magical, life-changing experiences for children facing serious illness. The money that you have raised will help send children and their families to Disneyland Paris."

Plans for next year's race are already underway, with teams keen to return and build on this year's total. Anyone wanting more information can contact Agents Giving directly or visit the charity's website.

Agents Giving Day calls for food bank support on 18 June

With barely enough time to dry themselves off, the property industry charity is now turning its attention to tackling food poverty, with Agents Giving Day taking place on Thursday 18 June. Agents, offices, businesses and communities across the UK are being encouraged to run their own food collection drives in support of local food banks.

This year's campaign is supported once again by The Guild of Property Professionals and Relocation Agent Network, and aims to build on previous years by encouraging individuals and teams to collect and donate food items where they're needed most.

According to the Trussell Trust's annual report for January to December 2025, food banks in the Trussell community distributed nearly 2.6 million emergency food parcels last year, the equivalent of one parcel every 12 seconds. Over 1 million of these parcels went to children.

There are several ways for agents and offices to take part:

  • run a collection drive at the office, at a time that suits the team
  • donate food items directly to a local food bank
  • encourage colleagues or wider networks to join in and increase the impact
  • share photos of collections with Agents Giving
  • register support and let Agents Giving know which food bank is being backed

"We are encouraging everyone to get behind this initiative," said David Newnes, chairman of Agents Giving.

"Even a small food parcel or donation can make a big difference to someone going hungry in your area. Let's work together to help where it's needed most and make a difference this Agents Giving Day."

Last year's campaign saw thousands of food items collected across the country, and organisers are hoping this year's event will set a new record for participation. Those taking part can use the Trussell Trust's food bank finder to locate their nearest collection point and check which items are most needed.
