Paul Shamplina’s charity boxing event Rumble with the Agents is set to arrive in the North East for the first time, as part of its 10-year anniversary, with organisers aiming to raise a total of £200,000 for charity.
Following a sold-out night in London earlier this year, the next edition will take place at Newcastle Civic Centre on Thursday 4 December 2025. The evening will bring together more than 300 property professionals for a night of white-collar boxing, fundraising, and entertainment.
This North East event will support Legends on the Bench, a mental health charity founded by former footballer Micky Hazard in memory of his nephew. The charity aims to combat suicide and support mental wellbeing through a grassroots, community-led model.
Alongside a series of live boxing bouts, the night will include a three-course meal, auctions, raffles, and an afterparty. Rumble with the Agents is now calling on male and female volunteers from across the property sector—including agents, landlords, developers, and suppliers—to take part and raise funds for the chosen charity.
Participants will undergo a three-month training programme at F.I.T Club in Newcastle, combining group sessions and individual coaching. Each volunteer will represent their company in one of four or five bouts on the night, with each match consisting of three two-minute rounds.
Several organisations already have participants confirmed, including Iam Sold, Viva Residential, and Vigeo. Sponsorship support has been pledged by a number of industry partners, including mydeposits.
“I’m so proud that we’ve reached our 10-year anniversary,” said Paul Shamplina, founder of Rumble with the Agents. “What started as a passion project combining boxing and property has grown into a landmark industry event, so far raising nearly £180,000 for charities.”

Commenting on the origins of his charity, Micky Hazard explained: “When I lost my nephew, I knew I had to do something to help others who might be suffering in silence. That’s how Legends on the Bench was born, a simple idea to place benches in parks across the UK, offering a quiet place to reflect and, more importantly, a lifeline. Each bench carries a plaque with support numbers, so no one feels completely alone, no matter the time of day.”
“We’ve already installed 40 benches, and by the end of September, that number will be up to 70. The momentum and support we have had have been incredible, and it’s pushing us to keep going. This is about more than benches, it’s about giving people hope, a voice, and a reminder that someone is always there to listen.”
The evening will also welcome guest of honour Ossie Ardiles, former Spurs and Newcastle United manager, with Micky Hazard hosting a Newcastle Legends VIP Table.
The event is being organised with support from Debbie Dorans of Woodstone Properties and Victoria Valentine of Landlord Action. Paul Shamplina is encouraging members of the property sector to get involved, whether by stepping into the ring, sponsoring the event, or booking a table.
