Propertymark opens applications for Board Directors and Vice Presidents

Propertymark has announced that it has launched its annual call for leadership nominations and is seeking new member-elected Directors for its Board as well as Vice Presidents for its sales and lettings divisions.

According to the industry body, successful Vice Presidents will enter the Presidential Teams in July 2023, before moving into the President-Elect position in 2024 and becoming President of their respective divisions in 2025, their third and final year of term.

The Presidential Team work alongside Propertymark Headquarters where they communicate the views of members they meet and the challenges they are facing, helping Propertymark to continuously evolve its member services.

The Propertymark Board is predominantly made up of practitioners, their primary responsibility is to agree on the strategic direction of the organisation and set the priorities and objectives.

Successful member-elected directors will serve an initial four-year term on the Board. Applications are open for two Director roles, one from the sales divisions and one from lettings.

The professional body will also be recruiting a new Non-Executive Chair as Nicky Heathcote, Director and Chair of the Propertymark Board will be standing down in the Summer, having sat on the Board for the last 5 years.

Nicky, who was a Non-Executive Director at Propertymark before taking on the role of Chair in 2020, has been instrumental in the recent transformation of the organisation.

She has driven through the introduction of a new Business Strategy that puts members at the heart of everything Propertymark does, the implementation of a new Corporate Governance Framework and regulatory regime, the modernisation of Propertymark’s qualifications offering and establishing an in-house PR and Campaigns Team.
