The property industry has once again shown its generosity and community spirit, coming together to raise vital funds for two important causes this autumn.

At the EA Masters event, agents and industry professionals united to support the breast cancer charity CoppaFeel and Agents Giving, raising an outstanding £14,000 with donations still being accepted. The event was filled with energy, emotion, and community spirit, exemplified by Rebecca and Richard Combellack. Rebecca shared her moving journey with breast cancer, while Richard shaved his head live on stage in solidarity, earning a standing ovation from attendees.

The Agents Giving stand was a hub of activity throughout the day, with celebrity barber Tom Chapman giving haircuts and shaves to raise funds while highlighting the importance of men’s mental health and wellbeing. Many attendees joined in, demonstrating solidarity and support for the cause. CoppaFeel representatives were also on hand to offer advice on regularly checking breasts and the importance of early detection.

“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone in the property industry for your incredible generosity and support at the EA Masters," comments Rebecca Combellack. "This truly is one of the most community-minded and generous industries and we’re so grateful to each of you who donated and shared your own stories,"

She added, “A special thank you to CoppaFeel for everything you do to raise awareness and save lives. The younger we guide people to know their own bodies, the more lives we can save. Remember, you know your own body. If something doesn’t feel right, do something.”

Pedal power

Meanwhile, the Great British Property Cycle Challenge ran throughout October, with hundreds of participants cycling any distance they could manage in their own time to raise funds for the homelessness charity St Mungo’s. Supporters completed early morning and evening rides, weekend family cycles, and even miles on stationary bikes in offices and gyms. Collectively, they raised just over £25,000, with fundraising still ongoing.

Jay Hunt, head of partnerships at St Mungo’s, said, “We are incredibly grateful to be the charity partner for The Great British Property Cycle Challenge this year. The number of people faced with the harsh reality of homelessness in the UK is increasing at an alarming rate, and our teams are seeing some of the highest levels of rough sleeping on record, especially in London. Support from Agents Giving and every participant in the challenge is more vital than ever to help us towards our mission to end homelessness and help people rebuild their lives.”

A spokesperson for Agents Giving said, "We would like to send heartfelt thanks for all the hard work put into this cycling event. You have all made a huge difference to those facing homelessness this winter and showing what a force of determination you all are!"

Donations for both causes remain open through Agents Giving and JustGiving: Brave the Shave for Breast Cancer
