These lettings represent the first confirmed tenants for the developments.
Drake and Morgan's proposed operation at Sixty London will trade over 3-floors and comprise a deli, café, restaurant and bar, and will include retail elements such as a wine and flower shop. The proposed use will support the 215,000 sq ft Grade A office scheme, scheduled to complete in summer 2013. The venue will also become a prominent landmark due to its location at the corner of Holborn Viaduct and Farringdon Street, with its entrance in the fourth Gatehouse on Holborn Viaduct, which is being rebuilt by AXA Real Estate to the original Victorian design.
At 1 St Paul's, Drake and Morgan will operate a 2 level bar and restaurant in the mixed use development, which also includes 60,000 sq ft of bespoke office space and 10,000 sq ft of prime residential apartments, which is due to complete in spring 2013. The venue will benefit from its superb location opposite St Paul's Cathedral.
Drake & Morgan have established a reputation for exciting, contemporary and design led venues and these lettings - their 6th and 7th venues in London - will support the amenity for the office tenants at Sixty London and One St Paul's, but also for the local area as a whole. Drake and Morgan's other operations include The Parlour, Canary Wharf, The Anthologist, The Folly and The Drift, located in the City of London.
Harry Badham, Head of UK Development at AXA Real Estate, commented:
"The signing of Drake & Morgan at both Sixty London and One St Paul's marks an important milestone for these developments, and a genuine endorsement for the spaces we are creating,
"The design and operation of Drake & Morgan's venues across London are perfectly aligned with the vision we have for Sixty London and 1 St Pauls and underpin our commitment to create fantastic places, not only through innovative design but also by working with exceptional operators. We hope to announce further exciting lettings shortly."
