"Since Agents Giving highlighted how we could help our own food banks locally, we reached out and visited the main Swansea food bank and ever since our relationship with many of our food banks in Swansea and Llanelli has gotten stronger with each visit"

Agents collected and donated to support their local food banks with thousands of essential food items, toiletries, and other everyday essentials to help local families struggling to cope with the cost-of-living crisis.

The Trussell Trust announced that a record number of emergency parcels were provided to people facing hardship in the last 12 months at just under 3 million parcels from April 22 – March 23.

The total number of items collected so far stands at the thousands with further donations still being made which is an amazing effort and one we can all be proud of.

Huge thanks go to all agents who have supported and organized collections at their offices and for all their support in helping with the awareness of the challenges our food banks are facing, some of those included; Dawsons, Paramount, Thomas Morris Estate Agents, Drivers & Norris, M&M Estate Agents, Thomas Charles Lettings, Grey & Co Estate Agents, The Lettings Partnership, Taylor Gibbs, Highland Solicitors Property Centre, Stephen J Brown Consultancy plus many more agents.

Naomi Webborn, Marketing, PR & Systems Coordinator at Dawsons, comments:

“This year, like many others since 2018, we have supported Agents Giving Day for our local food banks. Since Agents Giving highlighted how we could help our own food banks locally, we reached out and visited the main Swansea food bank and ever since our relationship with many of our food banks in Swansea and Llanelli has gotten stronger with each visit.

"We now try to support them as much as possible with collection campaigns for Christmas, Easter, Harvest and Agents Giving Day. The need for food banks has risen rapidly in recent years and to see all the volunteers and their work is heart-warming. They wouldn’t be able to open their doors if it wasn’t for the local people that support them, so we don’t just collect for our food banks we try to raise as much awareness of the work they do.

"It is truly eye-opening to see how much they need all our support, for them to support those in need.”
