Ceta has added managing general agent Toledo to its insurer panel and launched a landlord insurance product for residential let property, with quote and bind for sums insured up to £10m. Ceta, a digital niche personal lines broker within the Atec Group, says the product is live and already writing business.
Ceta sells the landlord insurance product only through the wholesale channel, not through price comparison sites or aggregators. The firm says this gives its broker partners a way to stand out with landlord clients in what it describes as a soft, competitive residential property market.
Accellerant provides A-rated capacity for the product, and Ceta intermediaries reach it through the Infinity platform. Ceta also supports book roll-overs, so brokers can move existing portfolios onto the landlord insurance product where they meet the relevant appetite.
Toledo takes the number of insurers on Ceta's panel to four. Ceta plans three more new products for the panel in the coming weeks, and the Toledo launch is the first of them.
"We're delighted to welcome Toledo to the Ceta panel and to launch a product that gives our brokers a genuine point of difference in a very competitive market," said James O'Hara, commercial director at Ceta.
"The wholesale distribution is particularly significant - brokers can offer their landlord clients access to a product they cannot obtain through aggregators, while quote and bind up to £10m gives them another strong differentiator, particularly for larger risks where speed and ease of trading are critical.
"This is an important step in our strategy to build the strongest and most comprehensive panel in the market, giving brokers access to specialist products and capacity that help them win and retain business. It is also the first of a number of new products we will be bringing to the panel in the coming weeks, further strengthening and broadening our proposition."
