Brownfield developer, Inland, said it would undertake measures in line with the government’s Covid-19 Secure guidance and has also signed up to the HBF and government’s Charter for Safe Working Practice – Covid-19, which supports housebuilders’ new protocols.

For Inland’s physical sales, appointment-only visits will be limited to two people per household, with Perspex screens installed on desks “where possible”. Hand sanitiser, face masks and gloves will be available for staff and visitors, and Inland said the surfaces of its show homes would be sanitised before and after each viewing.

The firm is offering a discount for key workers on its new homes and said it was launching a “number of offers” on home sales for its other customers.

Stephen Wicks, Inland's CEO, said: “The revised working practices and safety protocols we’re putting in place meet the government’s Covid-19 Secure principles and should reassure both customers and staff that their safety is our number one priority.”
