"It’s not about how far you ride – it’s about showing up, doing what you can, and helping change lives. We’re inviting the whole industry to pedal with purpose this October"
- David Newnes - Agents Giving
Agents Giving has launched The Great British Property Cycle Challenge 2025, a nationwide cycling initiative to raise funds for homelessness charity St Mungo’s. The event invites individuals and teams across the property industry to take part throughout October, riding any distance, anywhere, to support the cause.
Building on the success of last year’s challenge, which raised nearly £18,000, Agents Giving hopes to increase participation and fundraising in 2025. The initiative is open to everyone — including agents, suppliers, clients, friends, and family — regardless of cycling experience or fitness level.
Participants can cycle indoors or outdoors, with no fixed route or distance requirements. Whether cycling at home, in a gym, at the office on a static bike, or on the road, the goal remains the same: to raise money for St Mungo’s and raise awareness around homelessness.
“This challenge is about community, compassion, and collective action,” said David Newnes, chairman of Agents Giving. “It’s not about how far you ride – it’s about showing up, doing what you can, and helping change lives. We’re inviting the whole industry to pedal with purpose this October.”
Under the theme “Be 1 in a Thousand – Ride Your Way to Make a Difference,” participants are encouraged to ride individually or as part of a team. Fundraising pages can be set up via the Agents Giving website, with no minimum target. All donations will support St Mungo’s ongoing work with people facing homelessness.
St Mungo’s provides services across the UK to help individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The organisation works with people, whether they have recently become homeless or have been rough sleeping for longer periods, helping them access accommodation, employment, health services, and long-term support.
“We are incredibly grateful to be the charity partner for The Great British Property Cycle challenge this year,” said Jay Hunt, head of partnerships at St Mungo’s. “The number of people faced with the harsh reality of homelessness in the UK is increasing at an alarming rate, and our teams are seeing some of the highest levels of rough sleeping on record, especially in London. Support from Agents Giving and every participant in the challenge is more vital than ever before to help us towards our mission to end homelessness and help people rebuild their lives.”
Participants can choose when and how to ride during the month-long event and are encouraged to share their progress to raise awareness and inspire others to join. The campaign aims to combine fundraising with visibility, using the collective efforts of the property sector to spotlight a national issue.
