"While many tenants won’t have a full view of the hard work that’s required in this respect, it’s great to see that they do appreciate the service and support that letting agents provide them when tackling the rental market"
- Sam Reynolds - Zero Deposit

New research by Zero Deposit has revealed which cities are home to the best letting agents according to tenants.

A survey of 1,204 UK tenants, commissioned by Zero Deposit, found that 70% of tenants believe they have a good relationship with their letting agent.

61% said that they feel they can reach out to them with property-related issues and they will help resolve them and 59% would use them again if they needed to find another rental property.

Additional research by Zero Deposit has shown that it’s Edinburgh, Bradford and London are home to the best-letting agents.

Zero Deposit analysed the average recommendation rating of letting agents across 12 major cities in Britain.

The research shows that letting agents in Edinburgh are most likely to be recommended by their tenants, with a recommendation rating of 79%. Bradford ranked second with a score of 76%, with London close behind in third at 74%.

Manchester (72%) and Leeds (71%) also ranked in the top 10 with recommendation scores of more than 70%.

Sam Reynolds, CEO of Zero Deposit commented: “There is a tendency for society to pit letting agents and tenants against each other, but it’s clear that the vast majority of renters enjoy a good relationship with their letting agent and feel comfortable reaching out to them when needed.

"Letting agents play a vital role in the rental sector, bridging the gap between landlord and tenant while helping to manage and maintain the tenancy.

"So while many tenants won’t have a full view of the hard work that’s required in this respect, it’s great to see that they do appreciate the service and support that letting agents provide them when tackling the rental market.”
