At the last Nottingham auction in May, Graham Penny Auctions secured over £3.4m in sales with several lots achieving sale prices of more than 30 per cent over their guide prices. Thanks to these impressive results the team have been busy processing dozens of entries for the July auction and there is still space to include more lots before the catalogue closes next week.

Vejay Pal, senior valuer at Graham Penny Auctions Nottingham, commented:

“Selling by auction is increasingly becoming a place to secure a great price for properties, not simply a last resort for disposing of run-down or hard to sell properties. Selling by auction will get your property seen by thousands of potential buyers and will see it achieve the best price on the day – with the money in your account within a month.”

Amongst the properties already entered into the next Nottingham auction on Thursday 3rd July are:

•38 Wollaton Road in Nottingham – a freehold ground floor retail unit with two flats above and excellent investment potential. The guide price is £120,000+

•669 Western Boulevard in Aspley – a three bedroomed semi-detached property on a substantial plot with scope for improvement and/or extension. The guide price is £87,000+

•97 Watson Road in Worksop – a three bedroomed, double fronted traditional detached residence benefitting from gas central heating. The guide price is £68,000+

•Sandhill Working Mens Club, Broxtowe Drive in Mansfield – a detached former working mens club offering excellent potential for redevelopment subject to obtaining necessary planning consents. The guide price is £25,000+

•15 Tudor Grove in Nottingham – a traditional three bedroomed terraced residence benefitting from gas central heating and requiring modernisation and improvement. The guide price is £85,000+

Vejay added: “I’m happy to explain the auction process and carry out free property valuation for anyone interested in selling their property at our next auction. We also have a step by step guide to buying and selling at auction on our website to help guide people through from instruction to completion.”
