The call for entries comes as figures were released this week showing Graham Penny Auctions sold 35 per cent of all lots sold by auction in the East Midlands in the past three months and secured 33 per cent of the total value of auction lots in the same period in the region.

Carl Finch, Graham Penny Auctions Leicester branch manager, commented: “We have achieved some great results for our customers so far this year, particularly in our last auction where many of our Leicestershire properties sold for more than 20 per cent over their guide prices.

Auction is becoming an increasingly popular way of selling property and figures like those released this week demonstrate why. We already have several properties entered into our June auction and I encourage anyone looking to sell to get in touch with me for a free property appraisal.”

Amongst the properties already entered into the Leicester auction on Thursday 26th June are:

52 Heath Lane in Earl Shilton – a spacious three bedroomed detached house with a paddock, builders yard and numerous workshops, garages and stores. The guide price is £280,000+

110 Silver Street in Whitwick – a three bedroomed detached house with attached builders yard and workshop which has planning permission for redevelopment and the erection of a three bedroomed detached house and a detached bungalow. The guide price is £175,000+

Carl added: “The great thing about buying a property at auction is that it’s a straightforward, transparent and quick process. When the hammer falls the sale is secure, contracts are exchanged and the sale is completed within a month.”
