Vejay Pal, senior valuer at Graham Penny Auctions, commented: “2014 has been a highly successful year for us and has seen us cement our position as not only the most successful auction house in Nottingham but also in the East Midlands. With the traditional method of auction we operate, our buyers pay only a £750 buyers fee along with their 10 per cent deposit on the fall of the gavel and they exchange contracts in the auction room – securing their purchase. It’s a straightforward and transparent process.

We are already looking ahead to 2015 and have seven auctions lined up in the city. Following significant expansion of our client base of buyers throughout this year we are able to operate bespoke and intensive marketing campaigns for all our lots to a national audience culminating in a speedy sale at the best price.”
