Plans for 4,000 new homes in Copeland

It has been revealed that over 4'000 new council homes could be built in the Cumbrian borough.

The Council said it planned to build the homes over the next 15 years.

The plans include 1,800 homes to be built in Whitehaven. According to sources at the council, the rest will be built in Cleator Moor, Egremont and Millom.

The council has begun a 10-week consultation period and wants to hear where residents think the homes should be built.
