According to a report from Move With Us back in October 2013, part exchange accounts for 11%* of new build sales and has always been the fastest and easiest way for builders and developers to sell new homes.

However, part exchange is no longer the preserve of new house builders.

Joanne McClarence, Operations Director of Part Exchange Register explains: “The surge in popularity of part exchange schemes is a growing trend.  However, our research shows that home owners are also happy to look at part exchange for non-new build properties, as it gives them the opportunity for a quicker sale and chain-free transaction.

Agents that want to speed up the sale of properties have an opportunity to offer a new ‘matching’ service, which enables agents to generate additional property sales, by bringing vendors and buyers together, in a more targeted and effective way.

Part Exchange Register offers agents another sales channel which can be used effectively when times are good for agents, as well as when times are harder.  It is ideal for agents who are looking to secure new sales opportunities.”

Stacey Kerr, Director of True Shone Kerr commented: “The concept of matching up sellers with their ideal homes is a great idea and I think that it will appeal to quite a few vendors. I believe that many people looking to move would consider part exchanging their homes if it meant they could move into a property that meets all their needs, chain-free."
