Principality will offer mortgages through intermediaries only initially, to support those buying a new build property via the UK Government-backed Help to Buy England scheme. The Society will be offering a five year fixed rate with an August 2023 end date. The product will have a rate of 2.45% per annum, feature no product fee and offer a free valuation.

Julia Debattista, New Build Business Development Manager at Principality Building Society, said: “Having listened to broker feedback we are delighted to be introducing a Help to Buy England mortgage product to our range. Last year Principality helped more than 5,000 first time buyers get on to the property ladder. We’ve supported the Help to Buy Wales scheme since it launched and now look forward to helping clients across England.”
