The Award had a record- breaking number of votes this year and voting for the top runners was very close. The AIIC Council decided to expand the number of award winners, mindful that larger companies will naturally be able to gain a larger number of votes and smaller companies providing an excellent standard of service may not get a chance to contend for the award.
This is the fifth year of the Inventory Clerk Of The Year Award, which asks letting agents and landlords to nominate their inventory clerk from the 500 nationwide AIIC members.
James Grimsted won the prestigious Award because of the large number of glowing references and nominations he received from clients. James Grimsted commented: “I am delighted to win the AIIC Award. I would like to say a big thank you to all our clients who voted for me and to the AIIC, for hosting a superb Awards event.”
Pat Barber, Chair of the AIIC commented: “This year we were able to recognise more outstanding inventory clerks through changes to the judging criteria. Next year, we will organise a slightly differently graded award system with categories for larger and smaller companies. We have been astounded by the quality of entries that is rising every year.
This industry leading Award is going from strength to strength and we look forward to developing over the next few months.
We wish James Grimsted the best of luck for the future – he is a well deserving winner.”
The AIIC is committed to excellence and professionalism in the property inventory process and works hard to ensure that all landlords, tenants and letting agents understand the importance and benefits of professionally completed property inventories.
