The catalogue – for the auction on Thursday 22nd May at the iPro Stadium – features 43 varied lots including residential property, commercial property, land and others from across Derbyshire and the rest of the UK with guide prices starting from only £20,000.

The first two auctions of the year – in February and April – both secured more than £5m in sales for Graham Penny Auctions clients and helped the Derby team break through £300m in sales since the company opened its doors in the city in 2006.

Graham Penny, auctioneer at Graham Penny Auctions, is confident of another successful auction this month. He commented: “Our catalogue this month is not only strong in terms of the number of lots we have on offer but also in terms of the types of properties available. There’s something for everyone and as house prices continue to price, now really is the time to buy.”

Amongst the properties already in the Derby auction on Thursday 22nd May are:

•    22 Campbell Street in Allenton - a three bedroomed semi-detached house in a popular location with gas central heating and in need of some upgrading. The guide price is £56,000+

•    169 Mansfield Road in Chester Green – a large passaged mid-terraced house with scope for a scheme of modernisation and improvement. The guide price is £82,000+

•    53 Max Road in Chaddesden - a three bedroomed semi-detached property within easy reach of a full range of local amenities. The guide price is £85,000+

•    23 Kingsley Road in Allestree – an attractive three double bedroomed chalet-style bungalow which requires a scheme of refurbishment and improvement. The guide price is £150,000+

•    338 Stenson Road in Sunnyhill – a unique detached cottage property, dating from the 1800’s which used to be two cottages. It has tremendous scope and now requires a scheme of complete renovation. The guide price is £65,000+

With 21 auctions per year at the iPro Stadium in Derby, Nottingham Racecourse and the King Power Stadium in Leicester Graham Penny Auctions dominates the region’s house and property auction market in terms of lots offered, lots sold and revenue raised and continues to stay well ahead of its rivals across the East Midlands.

Anyone interested in purchasing a property at the Derby May auction can view the legal documents online at www.grahampenny.com and if successful in the auction room will pay only a £750 inc VAT buyers fee alongside their deposit to secure the sale.

Graham added:

“Our first two auctions of the year saw very busy auction rooms with some excited bidders looking to leave as a new property owner. I’m expecting another full room this month but if it’s not possible to attend the auction we do offer telephone, proxy and internet bidding services to help our clients get the lot they want.”
